The construction is environmentally sensitive, harmonious with
the natural features of the site and accentuates natural
daylight to all facilities. Local knowledge and art has been
incorporated in the development and the lodge has been
constructed using local manpower.
85% of our staff is from local villages, this results in taking
care of around 60-70 family members of the villagers. The lodge
also supports their medical facilities.
The village staff is used in all sections of the lodge and some
of them are trained to guide guests in the wild and drive.
The lodge maintains a small organic vegetable and herb garden,
the balance requirement is also sourced from the neighboring
villages
Hot water is provided by solar water heating system and the
swimming pool is also heated using solar power.
The furniture has been made from recycled railway sleeper wood,
saving a lot of new wood use. Other requirements of wood have
been met from regularized wood. Many furniture pieces have been
recycled from old pieces, bullock cart wheels and drift wood. |
